About Us

Located in Board of Education District 2 and KCS Region 5, Christenberry Elementary School is a long-standing fixture of the community. The original school, Christenberry Junior High School, opened in 1936. After many changes over the years, the old school was razed in 1992 to construct a new elementary school to enfold three aging schools: Brownlow, Lincoln Park, and Oakwood Elementaries. The three schools merged into a new state-of-the-art school, Christenberry Elementary School, in 1996.

The multi-generational Christenberry community has great pride in the school. We continue to grow as we welcome new neighbors of all backgrounds. The rich culture of the Christenberry community is an excellent resource for our school.
